Biography
Petra Dorst, born in The Netherlands (1976), has had a strong motivation to create since her childhood.
“You do not create… it arises from within…! It is a quest… and a weighing… what and how can I capture something that touches the viewer?”
This can be done through abstract or figurative sculptures. Her latest series in bronze, “Sky & Misty”, has a humorous side. Uncomplicated art that makes you happy.
Thanks to years of experience, she is able to apply the beautiful raw materials Bronze, Gold and Silver well in her sculptures. There are endless possibilities and techniques.
The art is to represent that, what touches you… intrigues… The purpose of art is to enjoy the sculpture, whether it is large or small.
